Litigation Associate

DescriptionWe are looking for a litigation attorney with at least three years of civil litigation experience to join a collaborative legal team in Baltimore County. This role is well suited for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality client service, and contribute effectively to a fast-moving practice. Candidates with a background in insurance-related disputes, commercial litigation and employment law will be especially valued, along with strong written advocacy and courtroom communication skills.Responsibilities:• Handle civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, maintaining consistent attention to strategy, deadlines, and client objectives.• Prepare persuasive legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and other filings required throughout the litigation process.• Conduct and defend depositions, gather relevant testimony, and use factual development to strengthen case positions.• Represent clients in hearings, conferences, and other proceedings with clear oral advocacy and sound legal judgment.• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to evaluate risk, develop case strategies, and provide timely updates on active matters.• Manage a varied caseload in a primarily in-office setting, with limited remote flexibility available after onboarding and adjustment to the role.Requirements• Active attorney license in MarylandOther state bar licenses (in D.C., Virginia, and Pennsylvania) a plus• At least 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation.• Demonstrated ability to draft motions and other litigation documents with precision and strong legal analysis.• Hands-on experience taking or defending depositions.• Strong verbal advocacy skills and confidence communicating in court and with clients.• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and perform effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.Free parking, hybrid work, low billable hour expectation, 401K match, medical coverage, bonus opportunity and more!Qualified candidates should directly apply and connect with Amy Hyman Baum on LinkedIn.
