Description/Notes:To provide leadership, supervision, and administrative skills in order to promote the educational development of each student in a technology-rich, project-based learning environment.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Master’s Degree in educational administration or curriculum and instruction
Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
Texas teaching certificate
Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
Special Knowledge/Skills
Working knowledge of curriculum, instructional design, and assessment best practices
Ability to effectively lead change
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to align actions and behaviors to District values and beliefs
Ability to ensure effective instructional design maximizes student growth
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data and identify areas of focus for improvement
Ability to organize, communicate using a variety of mediums, communication,

Experience:
Three (3) years experience as a classroom teacher
Experience as a secondary assistant or associate principal
Demonstrated experience with instructional leadership roles
Experience as lead principal of a large, comprehensive high school preferred
