About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as the second-in-command to the CEO and lead the internal management of the organization. This executive leadership role is pivotal in enabling the CEO to focus on vision, fundraising, and external leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organizational performance, translating strategy into annual plans, and ensuring the effectiveness of the Leadership Team. The Chief of Staff will also be tasked with strengthening the leadership capacity of the organization, creating a culture of wellness and balance, and preparing the organization for future growth. The role requires a seasoned, mission-driven executive with at least 15-20 years' of experience in complex, multi-country, mission-driven organizations, and a strong commitment to the values of the organization. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a proven track record in executive leadership, with experience in areas such as program quality, financial management, and HR policy. The role demands a leader with strong financial acumen, the ability to lead senior executives, and a background in community-led development programs. The ideal candidate will have a leadership approach grounded in humility, empathy, and a commitment to the mission, as well as the courage to make difficult decisions. Experience in crisis and emergency management, particularly in high-risk environments, is essential. The Chief of Staff will be expected to build durable systems, capable teams, and clear accountability structures, and to ensure the organization's compliance with legal and regulatory standards across multiple countries.
