Job Summary: As the Peer Recovery Specialist, you will work in our Youth and Family Treatment Recovery Engagement and Expansion Department (YF-TREE) to deliver behavioral health care and substance use treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults ages 0-25 experiencing substance use disorder and/or co-occurring disorders, along with their families and primary caregivers. What You Will Do: Provide ongoing peer support and advocacy to ensure client's autonomy and right toself-determination is respected Connectclientsto resources, experiential sharing, and assist in relationship building Provide group facilitation, skill building/mentoring/goal setting, and socialization/self-esteem building Assist clients with education/awarenessof community resources, coping skills, and individual strengths Assist in establishing and sustaining a social environment supportive of recovery Enhance identification and participation in the recovery community Advocate for appropriate and effective community treatment and recovery Empower individuals to make self-determined and self-directed choices about their recovery pathway Provide support with face-to-face sessions and/or telephone support based on theindividual'spersonal choice Help individuals maintain healthy community, family and social functioning What We Need to See: High School Diploma and peer service experience required. Bachelor's degree in behavioral health related field preferred A valid driver's license and must be insurable under Agency automobile insurance.
