About Amperity—Why This, Why Now

Most customer data is a lie by omission.

Every consumer brand wants to know its customers. Unfortunately, almost none actually do. Data is scattered across a dozen systems, half of it contradicts the other half, and "insights" teams are forced to act on incomplete guesses. We started Amperity ten years ago because that gap—between what a brand believes about its customers and what is true—is the most expensive problem in the industry, and nobody had solved it.

With a lot of hard work and a little bit of luck, we did. Our patented identity resolution takes billions of messy, conflicting records and resolves them into an accurate picture of a real human being—in hours, not months. Now we’re doing something harder. We’re rebuilding Amperity as an AI-first company—not bolting a chatbot onto old software, but putting agents at the center of how customer data actually gets used. We shipped the industry’s first identity resolution agent, then the first enterprise Customer Data Agent that turns a plain-language question into a live segment without waiting on an engineering queue. The bet underneath all of it is simple, and we think it’s correct: The potential of AI will not be realized for a brand until it’s grounded and activated against a true, unified view of the customer. The market at-large is focused on intelligence, and we are focused on being the ones who can make it trustworthy.

The Role

At Amperity, we help people use data to serve the customer. Amperity's clients are trailblazers who have decided to make major investments in customer data infrastructure, and the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Consulting team is crucial in advising our clients on how to turbo-boost their marketing through the strategic activation of this data. CRM Consultants work directly with marketers at some of the world's most beloved consumer brands to tackle impactful customer base challenges like acquiring high-value customers, cultivating the loyalty of existing customers, and increasing customer lifetime value.

CRM Consultants, in close partnership with Amperity's Analytics team, work on an ongoing, billable basis, interacting heavily with our customers as an extension of their paid media, email, and CRM teams.

Interesting Problems

• Consult with marketers to identify trends, opportunities, and valuable segments that help them drive and measure incremental growth
• In conjunction with our clients, design cross-channel marketing programs, analyze performance, and provide guidance on optimization, always striving to create outsize value for our clients through their customer data
• Gain deep insight into the innovation - and challenges facing - today's top brands, and join them at the front lines of creating a personalized, customer-centric experience for their buyers
• Be an advocate for your clients across the organization by working with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure Amperity's services and products are aligned with our client's needs and goals
• Contribute to Amperity thought leadership shared with our community
• Drive AI experimentation, leveraging insights to predict customer behavior and proactively design personalization strategies that scale customer value.
• Champion the adoption of Amperity's AI-first product capabilities with clients, and actively collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide user feedback and influence the AI product roadmap.

About You

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a digital marketing, customer insights, agency, or other strategic client-facing role, or working in a digital marketing function at a retailer or other direct-to-consumer business
• You have a foundational understanding of marketing strategy, frameworks, and best practices, ideally with direct experience launching and measuring campaigns in email, SMS, direct mail, or paid media channels
• You have experience advising clients or other business stakeholders on how to translate insights into action, and how to measure the impact of those actions
• You have strong presentation skills, a professional presence, and the ability to think on your feet
• You’re passionate about “diving into the data” to develop a better understanding of customer behavior and are excited by the idea of getting your hands dirty in our product, both on behalf of our clients and to influence Amperity’s product roadmap
• Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing environment
• Ability to travel occasionally for client engagements, conferences, and internal planning sessions.

Location

Seattle, WA

Amperity’s work model operates on four in-office days each week and one designated remote workday on Wednesdays. We value the collaboration, connection, and learning that come from working together in person.

Compensation

Base Salary: $106,000-$146,000. Individual compensation within this range will depend on several factors, including your skills, experience, education/training, geographic location and the level at which you join. We also consider internal equity, market conditions, and overall business needs.

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity’s total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
