Express Employment Professionals, Laguna Hills is recruiting for an Account Clerk – Accounts Payable for a temporary assignment with a local organization. Service Line: Temporary, Full-time Pay: Up to $25/hr. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Assignment: Approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension Location: On-site Responsibilities: Review and process vendor invoices and supporting documentation. Verify approvals and accurately code invoices to the appropriate GL accounts. Process payments, including checks, ACH, and reimbursements. Perform vendor account reconciliations. Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies. Assist with month‑end and year‑end accounting activities. Support accruals and audit requests. Communicate professionally with vendors and internal staff. Handle confidential financial information with discretion. Requirements: Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage a high volume of transactions and meet payment and month‑end deadlines. Ability to work independently and know when to escape issues. Professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred: College coursework in accounting, finance, or business. Previous AP, accounting, bookkeeping, or purchasing experience. Experience with ERP systems, electronic invoice‑processing systems, and spreadsheets.
