Details 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and Acute Mental Health area All-age patient population with an average census of 230 visits/day Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4 EPIC (ASAP) EMR used for charting Floating required to the ED Observation wing (16 beds) 36-hour work week with Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) and EOW requirements Night positions do not rotate; Day Rotate has a low frequency of rotation when requested Requirements Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience required Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred Skilled in assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, and splinting Strong critical thinking and patient education skills required Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional Information Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care across all patient populations including pediatric and acute mental health cases Must reside within 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for standard travel pay rate; local candidates outside this radius receive a reduced rate Free on-site parking is not available; public transportation or paid public parking required First-time travelers may be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-716081.
