Human Resources Director

A well-established organization in the Charleston area is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead and oversee all human resources functions. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping HR strategy while managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, and compliance
• Partner closely with executive leadership to support current and future talent needs, retention initiatives, and succession planning
• Oversee HR team workflow, provide coaching and development, and deliver timely performance feedback
• Serve as a trusted advisor on complex employee matters, including investigations, accommodations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
• Manage full-cycle recruitment for exempt, professional, and leadership roles in collaboration with department heads
• Analyze compensation and benefits trends and recommend competitive programs to attract and retain top talent
• Develop and implement training and development initiatives to support employee growth
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
• Maintain HRIS systems and leverage data to drive informed people decisions

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of HR management or leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP highly desired
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HRIS platforms
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Compensation:

• Starting salary over $100K and up (depending on experience)
