A Franklin-area manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Controller to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, operational accountability, and long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing finance experience and the ability to turn financial data into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard cost accounting systems
  
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting processes
  
• Perform financial forecasting and long-range planning to support company objectives
  
• Oversee job costing and product costing processes to ensure operational and financial accuracy
  
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs
  
• Develop and maintain key financial and operational performance metrics
  
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and business decisions
  
• Support inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis activities
  
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, reporting requirements, and internal controls
  
• Utilize ERP and manufacturing systems to improve reporting efficiency and financial visibility
  
• Communicate financial performance clearly to both financial and non-financial leadership teams
  

Qualifications and Skills

• 5-10 years of accounting and finance experience
  
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles
  
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  
• Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing financial processes
  
• Knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and job costing
  
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial reporting skills
  
• Ability to communicate financial information in a clear and actionable manner
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
