Candidates must be dedicated to undergraduate teaching and demonstrate excellence in their field. The successful candidate(s) will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement. Adjunct faculty contracts are issued on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment. **Minimum Qualifications:*** Candidates may qualify with a master’s degree in a related field accompanied by significant professional experience or a relevant graduate degree.* Demonstrated ability to teach at the college level.* Ability and experience to teach one or more of the following courses in the department: + Theatre History I (THTR 205) + Theatre History II (THTR 206) + Stagecraft (THTR 150) **Duties include:*** Teach assigned course(s).* Effective planning and preparation of lectures, discussions, and activities to support student success.* Use Xavier’s campus-wide academic program, Canvas, to provide course information and maintain an electronic record of student’s progress.* Working cooperatively with members of the department.For additional information, please contact Stephen Skiles, Chair, Department of Music & Theatre at View email address on click.appcast.io.
