Charge Nurse

Seeking an experienced Charge Nurse with expertise in outpatient chronic and acute dialysis to oversee in-center dialysis services. The candidate will provide clinical leadership, ensure quality patient care, and support operational efficiency within a fast-paced dialysis unit.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate dialysis sessions, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Supervise nursing staff, assign duties, and provide mentorship and support.
• Administer blood and blood products, monitor patient responses, and manage complications.
• Conduct and interpret various alarms and diagnostic tests related to dialysis equipment and patient condition.
• Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
• Document patient care activities accurately using EPIC or similar electronic charting systems.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY Registered Nurse license in hand.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical dialysis experience, including outpatient chronic and acute care.
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience in a dialysis setting required.
• Proficient with chronic outpatient dialysis procedures and port access techniques.
• Knowledge of dialysis equipment such as Fresenius 2008T and related alarms.
• Ability to cannulate AV fistulas and grafts independently.
