What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside experience mechanical engineers and project teams on HVAC and plumbing system design projects. Throughout this 11-week internship program, you will: 

• Assist with HVAC and plumbing design calculations
• Support equipment selection and system layouts
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings
• Review construction documents and shop drawings
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress
• Learn about sustainable and energy-efficient building system design
• Assist with preparing engineering documentation and specifications

Software & Technical Skills You’ll Learn

Interns will gain hands-on experience using industry-standard mechanical engineering software and tools, including: 

• Revit
• AutoCAD
• Bluebeam Revu
• BIM coordination tools
• Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

We're looking for driven students who are eager to grow their professional skills, contribute to real-life, meaningful projects, and be a part of a talented team. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role: 

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Interested in HVAC, plumbing, and building systems design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment

Work Location

This is an onsite position based out of the following Core States Group offices: Bentonville, AR or Somerville, NJ.
