Job Summary The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for the plant’s environmental, health, and safety roadmap. The supervisor will coordinate and sustain safety for the plant by initiating and improving safety performance and efficiency of effective methods and strategies. Works closely with Operations Manager and leaders in the plant’s safety initiatives to ensure zero accidents, accident investigations, and overall plant safety. Provides supervision and ongoing team member training in accordance of safety and quality systems. Essential Job Functions Serve as primary point of contact for responding to safety initiatives. Communicates plant safety incidents with short and long term plan. Reviews safety gaps, near misses and work related injuries/illnesses incidents and provides root cause analyses by creating trending reports on an effective safety plan. Ensures timely follow-up on return to work plan. Provides root cause analyses, routine reviews and incidents’ findings, deficiencies, and equipment failures related to status reporting/dash boarding and safety/quality assurance. Conducts and coordinates audits of production lines, warehouse, quality, and all other applicable equipment identifying potential safety hazards in accordance with established safety procedures and documents results. Reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for safety and quality. Conducts safety committee team meetings to ensure safety tasks are completed. Develops and conducts monthly safety presentations and training to plant/warehouse employees on the importance of safety. Administers mandatory plant safety training for compliance with OSHA and all other regulatory compliance for existing and new employees, vendors, visitors, and contractors. Reviews vendors and supplies for PPE, first‑aid, AED, eye wash stations, fire extinguishers, etc. to ensure regulatory compliance. Serves as a member as first responder and/or CPR responder. Ensures plant staff is fully trained in the program. Partners with U. S. Compliance, Maintenance Manager, Production Supervisors and all applicable leaders on regulatory training for annual LOTO, Scissor Life, and electrical safety. Communicates daily with all plant leadership on real time safety performance issues. Follows all GMP and sanitation guidelines along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene. Follows all safety guidelines along with maintaining a high level of confidentiality pertaining to team member’s medical records. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times. Enforces plant safety rules, housekeeping standards and employee work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations. Performs performance evaluations of direct reports. Works split shift to ensure supervision to safety and quality team while maintaining consistency in safety and quality standards. Responsible for controlling and monitoring attendance and punctuality of the team members. Partners with leadership to ensure team collaboration including training methods that leads plant productivity. Follows WinCup Values, follows company procedures, GMP, and other related safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned by WinCup leadership as needed. Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, environment health‑safety, business, or equivalent experience. Experience in diverse manufacturing functions, including safety, quality, and production. Working knowledge and experience with GMP standards. Experience in plant safety and quality protocols as well as internal and external audits. Experience in LEAN Manufacturing, OSHA‑Safety regulations, and HACCP. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software applications. Ability to work split shift to support safety and quality team on night shift. Competencies Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in project management and able to execute strategic plans effectively. Capable of supervising teams, setting clear expectations, and providing actionable feedback. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including data interpretation and decision‑making. Proficient in MS Office Suite and statistical analysis software. Strong presentation, public speaking and organizational abilities. Intellectually curious and commitment to innovation –supports plant and company‑wide safety‑quality initiatives. Ability to learn quickly and take direction. Effective communicator who proactively seeks clarification to ensure alignment, goals and expectations with the ability to adjust communication methods based on either customer situation or the receiver of the communication (i.e., leadership, staff, peers, etc.). Exhibit a supportive and customer focused mindset such as while building positive relationships and strives to understands customer’s needs, both internal and external. Ability to respond to difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner. Ability to use collaborative and non‑adversarial approached in achieving goals. Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions. Team Member may be required to remain stationary for extended periods of time. Team Member may be required to stand for long periods up to 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts. Team Member may be required to talk, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle and feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. Work Environment (Manufacturing Plant) The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted. Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts. Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned. Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles. Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times. Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated. Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.
