Member Service Representative

Overview Position Opening for Member Service Representative – located at Owen Electric Cooperative, Dry Ridge, KY. Member Service Representatives provide prompt, efficient, courteous, and reliable service that promotes goodwill between the Cooperative, the Membership, the general public, and Cooperative personnel. Member Service Representatives primarily engage with the Cooperative’s Membership to process payments, create payment arrangements, address concerns, and handle various questions about electric service. This position must provide members with information on rates, service rules and regulations, and policies to increase member understanding, gain acceptance of the Cooperative’s programs, and promote a good image to the public. Location Position located at the cooperative’s Grant County (Dry Ridge) office. Business school diploma or Associate Degree in Business preferred. Experience Two year Member Service experience preferred. Six months on-the-job training may be necessary before the employee can perform satisfactorily with minimum supervision. Skills and Abilities Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a pleasant telephone presence. Must be able to quickly assist members and work well under pressure. Must be a good team member by being courteous and conscientious in assisting and working with co-workers, groups, and other personnel. Must have good math aptitude and be attentive to detail. Must be competent in using the Cooperative’s software systems.
