NOW HIRING: COURT REPORTER - GRADE K4
Fulton County State Court Bring your precision and court reporting expertise to public service. Annual Salary: $53,472-80,207 Essential Duties Record court proceedings, prepare and proofread transcripts, maintain exhibits and official records, and coordinate transcript requests with attorneys and court personnel. For Applicants With Prior Military Service We strongly encourage veterans, prior military and transitioning service members to apply. Many of the competencies and transferable skills developed through military service directly support success in this role, including: Operational Planning & Execution - Experience organizing mission tasks, preparing equipment, and meeting deadlines supports readiness for court proceedings and timely transcript production. Adaptability & Rapid Problem Solving - Experience responding to changing operational demands supports adapting to the pace of court proceedings and addressing reporting equipment issues. Team Cohesion & Communication - Clear communication and coordination with military personnel support effective collaboration with judges, attorneys, court staff, and the public. Safety & Risk Awareness - Experience following protective procedures and identifying risks supports careful handling of court exhibits, sensitive records, and reporting equipment. Technical & Equipment Proficiency - Experience operating specialized equipment and computer systems supports learning and using court reporting equipment and computer-aided transcription software. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED, completion of required court reporting apprenticeship and/or internship training, and sufficient coursework to obtain court reporter certification; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Georgia Certified Court Reporter (CCR) license issued by the Board of Court Reporting of the Judicial Council of Georgia is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
