AVP, Specialty PricingCan be based in US, Canada or UKThe following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Most insurance pricing environments still operate with fragmented data, legacy tools, and slow decision-making.We're building something different.Ledgebrook is a modern specialty insurance platform combining underwriting expertise, technology, AI, and data science to rethink how specialty insurance gets built and priced.We're hiring an AVP, Specialty Pricing to help shape the future of pricing across our Professional, Cyber, and Excess Liability portfolios.This is not a maintenance role.This is a high-impact opportunity to help build pricing infrastructure, influence underwriting strategy, develop predictive models, and partner directly with underwriting, product, data, and executive leadership in a fast-scaling environment.What You'll Do• Build and enhance predictive pricing models using actuarial and machine learning techniques• Partner closely with underwriting teams to drive smarter, data-informed decisions• Work alongside AI/ML and data engineering teams to develop scalable pricing capabilities• Own technical pricing initiatives across specialty casualty and professional lines• Develop analytical tools, reporting, and portfolio insights• Help shape pricing strategy as the platform expands into new specialty products• Mentor and collaborate with other actuaries and data scientistsWhat We're Looking For• Strong actuarial pricing or insurance modeling experience within P&C insurance or reinsurance• Professional Liability, Cyber, Excess Liability, or E&S experience highly valued• Strong technical capability across Excel, SQL, and analytical modeling• Ability to communicate complex pricing concepts to underwriting and business stakeholders• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a fast-moving environment• Collaborative personality that thrives in high-talent-density teamsWhy LedgebrookLedgebrook is building toward becoming a diversified full-stack specialty re/insurer — launching new specialty products at speed while modernizing how underwriting and pricing decisions get made.We're fully remote, venture-backed, and built around a simple idea:great people operating in a high-trust environment can move much faster than legacy organizations.Our culture:Care. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting.
