We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites throughout the assigned territory to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair water treatment, pumping, and related equipment. This highly travel-focused position requires extensive overnight travel and may involve being away from home for multiple consecutive weeks. The technician will also operate DOT-regulated commercial vehicles and safely transport equipment, tools, and materials to customer locations.This role is ideal for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service in a variety of field environments.Xylem is seeking mechanically inclined professionals who are comfortable with extensive travel and passionate about hands-on work, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. If you are driven by innovation, service, and making a real impact, we invite you to bring your skills to our team as a Senior Field Service Technician.Essential ResponsibilitiesSafely operate company commercial vehicles in accordance with DOT requirements.Transport equipment, tools, and materials to customer locations.Install, troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair water treatment, pumping, and related equipment.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment issues.Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.Work independently in the field while maintaining communication with internal teams.Document service work, inspections, repairs, and customer interactions accurately.Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Xylem professionally.Follow all company and customer safety requirements.Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.Obtain and maintain required customer site clearances, including TWIC, DISA, and other applicable clearances.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.1–3 years of field service, industrial maintenance, diesel, mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience.Experience with water treatment, pumps, industrial equipment, or related systems preferred.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile devices.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.Ability to obtain required customer site clearances, including TWIC, DISA, and other applicable clearances.Valid passport or ability to obtain one for occasional cross-border travel.Travel and Driving RequirementsTravel is required 75%–80% of the time.Frequent overnight travel is required, and assignments may require being away from home for up to three consecutive weeks or more.Flexibility to travel throughout the assigned territory is required.This position requires operating DOT-regulated commercial vehicles. Candidates must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record that meets company standards.Candidates must successfully complete all required driver, DOT, medical, and background screening requirements.Compensation & BenefitsThe estimated pay range for this position is $29 to $33 per hour.
