Director Of Community Access And Justice Supports

The Delaware County Office of Community Access and Justice Supports provides access to government services for all Delaware County constituents and access to supportive services for justice-involved individuals. Through the Delaware County All Access Center, OCAJS provides a single point of contact for all government inquiries, provides constituent consultation to identify and connect constituents to needed services, and ensures that services are rendered. OCAJS also works directly with justice-involved individuals to connect them to appropriate services and reduce recidivism.

Essential Duties

Under the general oversight of the Deputy Executive Director, the Director of Community Access and Justice Supports directs, oversees, and participates in the following duties:

• Manage all aspects of the Delaware County All Access Center including, but not limited to, constituent services, maintenance of the government resource database, management of the client relationship management database, development and maintenance of strong relationships with County, state, and local government leadership, creation of positive constituent outcomes, and tracking of outcome data.
• Facilitate and manage the coordination of social service needs within the criminal justice system including, but not limited to, access to programs and services in DHS, including Drug and Alcohol, mental health, intellectual disability, housing, COSA, Workforce Development, juvenile detention and rehabilitation, Veterans Affairs, and other related services.
• Supervise the DHS reentry work within the George W. Hill Correctional Facility.
• Work with George W. Hill Correctional Facility leadership to facilitate reentry procedures that ensure connection to available community services.
• Serve as a liaison for various DHS agencies with the Delaware County Criminal Justice Advisory Board.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and county social safety net programs including, but not limited to, programs that address mental illness, intellectual disability, homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, unemployment, adult education, and other related needs.
• Experience working within the criminal justice system.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend at the waist, speak, and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to reach or work with arms above shoulder level; kneel, stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, climb stairs, and twist or rotate at the waist while performing assigned duties.
