NOW HIRING!! A-Line is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support payroll processing and general administrative operations. This role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, working with payroll systems, and assisting with personnel-related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has experience with ADP payroll software, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and some human resources experience.

Payroll Administrator

Location: North Canaan, CT
Pay Rate: $29.21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Work Arrangement: Onsite only
Interview Process: In-person interview required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll administration and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Use ADP and other company software to support payroll and administrative processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize data, maintain spreadsheets, and prepare reports.
• Compile and generate reports, statistics, tables, and other administrative documentation.
• Maintain personnel records and assist with documentation related to employee changes.
• Support HR-related administrative activities as needed.
• Coordinate administrative information and serve as a point of contact for internal departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and workflow.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll administration experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP payroll software strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet maintenance and data organization.
• Some human resources experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling confidential information.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an onsite office environment.

Additional Details

• This is a fully onsite position in North Canaan, CT.
• Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
• The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
