REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR OF INSTRUCTION

49G (School Support Administrator, 0515) Serves as a key instructional leader of a region who aligns student needs with resources to ensure academic success and assists the Regional Superintendent in providing instructional support to all schools within the service area. Leads the development and implementation of initiatives and strategic plans that close the achievement gap and ensures that all students achieve high academic standards and graduate college‑prepared or career‑ready.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads professional development; strategizes and utilizes measures to ensure that all schools excel in meeting their goals Leads school administrators and stakeholders to align resources to support the needs of all students Leads administrators to create a school learning environment that promotes equity and high expectations for academic achievement Serves as the Regional Superintendent’s key leader in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Pre‑K to 12 schools instructional programs, including standards‑based instructional programs Assesses school improvement plans and guides administrators in establishing objectives for learning and measurable benchmarks Plans for and administers instructional initiatives that support all students, including English learners, Standard English learners, foster youth, students with disabilities, socioeconomically‑disadvantaged students, and gifted and talented education students Works collaboratively with the regional leadership team to ensure a safe and effective learning and school campus environment for all students Performs other duties as assigned

SALARY

49G (School Support Administrator, 0515) – A Basis ($162,967 – $202,934) – 261 paid days In the case of an annualized employee who is changing basis during the year, this change may result in an annualized “settlement” (i.e., the process by which the District resolves an under or overpayment). For employees who change basis during the school year, this basis change may prevent them from earning a full year of service credit. Selected individual may be subject to displacement due to norm allocation and seniority‑based RIF provisions or due to budget limitations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

At least eight years (8) of successful, full‑time public school service in a certificated position(s), with no fewer than three (3) years of which must have been as a school principal An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard conferred by a regionally‑accredited college or university Completion of required Multicultural Education and Master Plan coursework* *Applicants have one year to complete this requirement. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year of successful, full‑time experience in a position that evaluates principals and supervises schools Experience leading elementary, middle school, and high school instructional programs Leadership experience demonstrated by a successful track record of improved student achievement Experience leading the implementation of standards‑based instruction for all core subjects Leadership experience in planning, organizing, and implementing professional development that is aligned with District priorities Experience in leveraging instructional technology to enhance student learning Experience in leading Equity, Access, and Acceleration initiatives High school principal experience to lead A‑G Graduation Experience in the use and analysis of assessment data to inform instruction Understands and can support the instructional needs of all student populations and students of various languages and cultures Ability to build consensus with and develop collegial relationships with staff and stakeholders The Los Angeles Unified School District intends that all qualified persons shall have equal opportunities for employment and promotion. #J-18808-Ljbffr Los Angeles Unified School District
