Mammography Supervisor

Sign On Bonus $10,000 Sign on Bonus Position Overview The Mammography Supervisor provides clinical, organizational, and scheduling support/leadership to a fast‑paced, multimodality radiology practice. The position focuses on mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and bone density, facilitating workflow by acting as a liaison between modalities, radiologists, and front desk to maximize women’s clinical services daily. Primary Responsibilities Prepare monthly technologist schedules for mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and bone density to coordinate with radiologist staffing, including vacations, eTime issues, and coverage. Communicate daily department staffing to front desk scheduling coordinator. Perform clinical exams as needed. Organize/approve add‑on “stat” exams to maximize workflow within the department. Assist Clinical Operations Manager in developing clinical protocols for use across all locations. Lead contact in the preparation and submission of all ACR accreditation and MQSA requirements at all locations. Create, initiate, and maintain a QA mammography reporting system for all CareMount Medical locations. Coordinate stereotactic, biopsy, and wire local exam protocols. Independently resolve issues and coordinate appropriate departmental resources (clerical, file room, clinical) when needed to facilitate workflow; follow up as required. Maintain daily contact with clinical coordinators in ultrasound‑x‑ray as needed. Inform Radiology Manager daily of all departmental activities requiring supervisory action. Perform all aspects of employee relations, including evaluations, corrective action, and time‑card management. Responsible for machine maintenance and record‑keeping of any occurrences. Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects. Perform other related duties assigned as necessary. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. AART certification/licensure. 3+ years of experience as a technologist and 3 years supervisory experience. Knowledge of standard policies, procedures, and protocols to supervise the department directly. Knowledge of radiology standards to evaluate technologist work. Demonstrated ability to maintain a well‑organized, clear, “thinking” approach to all systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally to all staff and physicians. Proven excellent organizational skills and ability to function independently in all administrative aspects of the standard office‑operating environment (typing, Word, Excel, etc.). Proven skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance. Proven skill in identifying and resolving problems. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more.
