Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position Summary Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, with a cost focus that can be taught. Assist the Finance and Accounting team and play a critical role within the growing organization. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review month-end journal entries related to all cost transactions. Reconcile inventory balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules. Maintain and analyze product costing, including labor, overhead, and machine rates. Analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and production variances, propose solutions. Serve as a key finance resource for costing, inventory, and production processes within the organization's ERP system. Review cost structures, inventory transactions, and financial postings to ensure accurate financial reporting. Ensure manufacturing costs are accurately reflected in financial reporting. Support internal and external audits. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Three or more years of cost accounting experience within a construction/manufacturing environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including analysis of large datasets and account reconciliations. Strong documentation and organizational skills with experience supporting audits and financial reviews.
