IT Support Technician

Role Summary This Level 2 IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support for students and employees in an on-site campus environment. The role focuses on resolving escalated hardware, software, application, and network issues, supporting Windows and Mac devices, maintaining accurate service desk documentation, and helping Level 1 student workers troubleshoot and elevate issues effectively. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, peripheral, and basic network issues by phone, email, and in person. Manage escalated tickets, document troubleshooting activity, prioritize requests, and escalate complex issues when needed. Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, and authorized software. Mentor Level 1 student workers on troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation procedures. Maintain technical procedures and knowledge-base documentation for new, recurring, and critical issues. Required Experience Hands-on experience providing desktop, help desk, or technical support; approximately 5 years is ideal, with flexibility for strong candidates with less experience. Experience troubleshooting Windows and/or Mac hardware, software, applications, peripherals, and basic networking issues. Experience working with a service desk ticketing system and documenting technical issues accurately. Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Minneapolis and lift up to 40 pounds. Preferred Experience ServiceNow. JAMF. ITIL certification. CompTIA A+ certification. This is a 6-month onsite contract opportunity with the Minneapolis client.
