Overview Registered Nurse – PCU, Utica, NY, United States. Start date 10/12/2026 for a travel temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $3,078 to $3,209 per week with guaranteed 48 hours per week. Shift: Night shift, 12-hour blocks (4 nights per cycle). Setting: hospital-based PCU/IMCU unit. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $3,078–$3,209 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 12-hour blocks (4 nights per cycle) Start date: 10/12/2026 Setting: PCU/IMCU unit in a hospital Responsibilities Provide direct, continuous nursing care for adult patients in the PCU/IMCU, with common diagnoses including neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op conditions. Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, interpret vitals and laboratory data, recognize deterioration, and elevate to the care team as needed. Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IV lines, infusions, and appropriate airway support; operate or assist with specialty equipment (temp pacer, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP). Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and other disciplines; document care plans and patient outcomes in the EMR (EPIC); ensure safety and quality of care. Float to other units as needed to meet unit demands; assist with transport, discharge planning, and patient/family education as appropriate. Maintain infection control practices and adhere to unit-specific policies and procedures. Requirements Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; current NY RN license required; multiple RN licenses verified as applicable; RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission. 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience. Current BLS and ACLS; NIHSS certified. EPIC EMR experience. Valid driver's license with address matching demographics. Ability to float to other units as needed and work in an IMCU/PCU environment.
