Sales Representative

This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and driving sales throughout Puerto Rico.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional who understands how to identify customer needs, create demand, and present innovative solutions that improve educational environments. This role requires extensive travel across the island to meet with schools, educational institutions, government agencies, municipalities, and other organizations.

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan covering the entire Puerto Rico territory.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold calling.

Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private schools, universities, municipalities, government agencies, and other educational organizations.

Conduct in-person sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Identify customer needs and recommend tailored educational solutions.

Create demand by educating clients on available products and innovative classroom solutions.

Prepare quotations, proposals, and follow-up documentation.

Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through closing.

Meet and exceed established monthly and quarterly sales objectives.

Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline activity.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and successful project execution.

Stay informed on educational market trends and competitive products.

Represent the company professionally during client meetings, conferences, and industry events. 

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate

$15.00–$16.00 per hour (based on experience)

Car Allowance

$700 per month

$350 paid on the 15th

$350 paid on the 30th

Commission Structure

Eligible to earn a 3% sales commission.

Sales performance is measured by calendar quarter.

Expected monthly sales target: $100,000.

Commission is earned on sales exceeding the monthly target and is calculated and paid based on quarterly performance (Quarter 1, Quarter 2, Quarter 3, and Quarter 4).

Additional Skills

Qualifications

Required

Previous experience in outside sales, business development, or account management.

Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.

Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate leads, and close new business.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Valid Puerto Rico driver's license and reliable transportation.

Willingness to travel extensively throughout Puerto Rico.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems is preferred.

Preferred

Experience selling educational products, furniture, office equipment, construction-related products, or similar B2B solutions.

Existing relationships within the education sector are considered an asset.
