Lead Engineer

Job Description To assist or perform repairs and maintenance of equipment and the physical structure of the hotel in a safe, efficient and professional manner, as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Assistant of Director of Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service Repair, maintain and inspect plumbing, physical structure, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, spa, kitchen and laundry equipment, in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and building codes, using hand and power tools, carpenter, electrician, and plumbing tools Measure, cut and install pipes and tubing for gas and water Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and other plumbing equipment and open clogged drains Install electrical equipment and repair or replace wiring and fixtures Occasionally make and repair shelves, partitions and other wooden structures Occasionally paint walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures of establishment Occasionally replace and repair brick, concrete and sheetrock walls and structures Start devices to test their performance Replace drive belts and filters on machines and equipment Repair and replace locks Replace light bulbs throughout the building Perform repairs to swimming pool/spa equipment Help and assist other departments Use Royal Services software and other preventive maintenance software to track time and work Use assigned handheld devices such as an iTouch and radio to communicate work Familiar with all fire and emergency procedures Conduct and/or attend meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among company employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Prepare reports, as requested, to develop a more informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities Maintain shop and other work areas in a clean and organized condition as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
