As a Data Creator, you will wear specialized sensor equipment to perform human-like motions that guide a humanoid robot, capturing high-quality motion data used to train advanced AI models. You will play a hands-on role in an early-stage AI and robotics environment, helping to refine systems by identifying issues, maintaining a safe workspace, and contributing daily feedback to the team.

Responsibilities

• Wear sensor equipment and perform human-like motions to guide the robot through defined tasks and workflows.
• Collect accurate, high-quality motion data that will be used to train and improve AI models.
• Monitor data collection sessions closely and promptly flag any issues, bugs, or anomalies encountered.
• Provide clear, concise daily feedback to the team on system performance, usability, and any recurring problems.
• Use computer systems and data entry tools to log, organize, and maintain motion data and test results.
• Follow established testing and production procedures to ensure consistency and reliability of data.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in the production and lab environment at all times.
• Stay focused during repetitive tasks and complete assigned work efficiently without losing attention to detail.
• Collaborate with a goal-driven team of engineers by sharing observations and suggestions for improvement.
• Embrace constructive feedback and apply it to continuously improve motion performance and data quality.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including using data entry tools and software.
• Experience with data entry and data collection processes in a production or testing environment.
• Familiarity with electronics and computer systems sufficient to operate sensor equipment and related tools.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications to document, track, and report data or findings.
• Strong physical coordination and spatial awareness to perform precise, repeatable human-like motions.
• High level of focus and attention to detail, especially during repetitive tasks.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving procedures.
• Openness to constructive feedback and a strong drive for continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production and lab room environment where you will work closely with a goal-driven team of engineers. The work involves wearing sensor equipment and performing repetitive tasks, which may become monotonous at times, so maintaining focus and avoiding distractions is essential. You will work with computers, electronics, and motion capture or sensor systems in a hands-on setting, following structured procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
