Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper

Location: Near West Side, Chicago
Pay Rate: $24-$29/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Evaluation Hire (90 Days)
Schedule: Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper for a plumbing supply client located in Chicago's Near West Side area. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong bookkeeping experience who is looking for long-term growth with a stable company.

Primary Responsibilities

Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate transaction matching
Maintain organized and accurate financial records
Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping operations
Support reporting and additional accounting functions as needed

Qualifications

5-10 years of Accounting Clerk or Bookkeeping experience required
Associate's degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
NetSuite experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage priorities and work independently

This is a 90-day evaluation hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.
