Job Description:

The MRI Tech works in conjunction with physicians to provide MRI and MRA examinations, ensuring appropriate and effective care to elicit meaningful diagnostic information.

Responsibilities:

• Work with physicians to perform MRI and MRA studies.
• Understand and follow hospital and departmental protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform quality assurance on films and equipment.
• Schedule and manage examinations, ensuring they are completed and include Teleradiology of films.
• Perform contrast injections and maintain infection control principles.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and respond to their needs.
• Ensure safety through MRI Safety Level 2 Training and proper contrast dosage administration.

Requirements:

• Washington State Radiologic Technologists Certification.
• Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT(R).
• Certified in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) and/or Computed Tomography (CT) with ARRT (MR) within six months of hire (preferred).
• CPR certification at Healthcare Provider (HCP) level required within three months of hire.
• Minimum of two years of Radiology clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to perform exams and demonstrate competency on equipment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with safe judgment in decision-making.
