Construction Superintendent

We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects. The Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, inspections, safety, quality, and scheduling to ensure projects are completed on time and according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily construction activities at the jobsite.

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, materials, and equipment.

• Monitor project schedules, manpower, progress, and critical-path activities.

• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction documents.

• Perform daily site walks and ensure work is completed according to plans and quality standards.

• Coordinate inspections with local authorities and address deficiencies.

• Manage RFIs, ASIs, material submittals, punch lists, and other project documentation.

• Identify construction conflicts, delays, or subcontractor issues and communicate them to the project team.

• Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and provide direction to trades and vendors.

• Enforce jobsite safety, health, and environmental requirements.

• Maintain daily construction logs and project records.

• Ensure subcontractors complete their contracted scope and correct deficiencies promptly.

• Assist with permits, approvals, project closeout, and final punch-list completion.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.

• Communicate regularly with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of construction superintendent or building construction supervision experience.

• Commercial construction experience is required.

• Experience managing subcontractors and vendors on active jobsites.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety.

• OSHA certification required.

• Minimum 2-year college degree or equivalent construction experience.

• Valid driver's license.

• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple construction activities.

• Willingness to travel between jobsites as required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Commercial Construction Superintendent who is comfortable being on-site every day, coordinating multiple subcontractors and vendors, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety and quality standards, and working closely with the Project Manager to keep projects moving forward.
