Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently (as per credentialing)
• Instructing patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and ongoing health management
• Prescribing medications and treatments within the scope of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care initiatives
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-focused care
• Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
