Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated RN - Psych for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role specializes in providing care and support within a psychiatric emergency environment. As a Level 1 RN in Psych ER, you will deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients experiencing psychiatric crises.

- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients
- Make nursing diagnosis of medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans
- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary
- Assist patients in understanding emotional disturbances and accepting treatment
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
- Test and ensure treatment for pain
- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes
- Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and the public
- NY License ONLY
- BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
- Minimum 2 years experience
