This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating evening/night shifts are required, with potential schedules of 3 PM to 3:30 AM or 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Job Description

Join the emergency department team in a busy, Level III Trauma Center, known for its high patient volume and critical care capabilities. The department features 38 beds and 2 trauma bays, offering a challenging and rewarding work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care activities within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in department meetings and continuing education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of recent emergency department nursing experience.
• Completion of at least 3 ED assignments.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications are strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is mandatory.
