Temporary Lab Results Scanner Hospital Setting (68 Week Contract) Location: Manchester, CT Company: J. Morrissey Position Type: Temporary Contract (68 weeks) J. Morrissey is seeking detail-oriented Lab Results Scanners to support a busy hospital in Manchester, CT. This short-term opportunity is ideal for individuals who are organized, dependable, and comfortable performing repetitive computer-based tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Multiple shifts are available, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation is required.
Responsibilities
- Scan paper laboratory results into the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ensure documents are accurately indexed and attached to the correct patient records
- Verify scanned documents for quality, completeness, and accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information
- Follow hospital policies and established scanning workflows
- Perform computer-based work while seated for the duration of the shift
Qualifications
- Previous healthcare, medical records, or administrative experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple applications
- Ability to remain focused while performing repetitive tasks
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned weekends
