This role focuses on providing essential one-on-one assistance to a 15-year-old student throughout the school year, ensuring their unique educational and developmental needs are met in accordance with their IEP. Enjoy a consistent schedule of approximately 35 hours a week, working only when school is in session.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional, particularly in school settings
• Ability to provide patient, individualized support for high school-aged students
• Adeptness at understanding and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Required to have all necessary clearances, including child abuse, criminal, and police background checks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as a 1:1 support throughout the day, adapting to the student’s needs and challenges
• Facilitate participation in classroom activities and help maintain focus and engagement
• Implement strategies and modifications outlined in the IEP, working closely with educational staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and any personal or behavioral support required
• Track and report progress toward IEP goals to teachers and support team
