Working closely in a 1:1 capacity, you'll provide essential assistance to students, supporting both academic and behavioral goals under the guidance of educational professionals.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or PCA, particularly in high school settings
• Familiarity with the responsibilities associated with PCA 26/27 roles
• Ability to work one-on-one with students who require individualized support
• Effective communication skills with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, flexibility, and empathy in challenging situations
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or relevant training preferred

Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized support to assigned students in classrooms and throughout the school day
• Assist students in meeting educational, behavioral, and social objectives as defined by their plans
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies fostering student growth
• Help students manage daily routines, stay organized, and remain engaged during instruction
• Maintain clear documentation of student progress and any incidents, following school protocol
• Advocate for student needs while encouraging independence whenever possible
