This full-time, contract role is ideal for compassionate individuals comfortable working with higher-needs students across a specialized educational environment. Whether your strength is engaging younger learners or supporting older students on the road to independence, you can select from elementary, middle, high school, or potentially adult transition caseloads—please share your age group preferences when applying.
Bring your commitment to equity and inclusivity to a diverse, supportive setting where your expertise is valued and your presence truly matters. Interviews will be conducted onsite, and reliable commuting to the campus is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in similar supportive roles within special education settings
- Must hold all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Strong ability to advocate for and assist higher-needs students in a respectful, patient manner
- Comfort working in collaborative teams alongside educators and specialists
- Flexibility and professionalism within fast-paced and ever-changing classroom dynamics
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students across various age groups
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and adapting materials for varying abilities
- Supporting students’ participation, safety, and social skills throughout the school day
- Collaborating with the educational team to implement individualized plans
- Encouraging academic, emotional, and personal growth in all students
