Commercial Property Manager

We are a family-owned and operated commercial real estate development company seeking an experienced, full-time Commercial Property Manager to join our team long-term.

Our portfolio includes retail, office, and industrial properties. We take pride in providing exceptional service to our tenants, maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors, and managing our properties with a high level of organization and attention to detail.

We’re looking for a proactive, highly organized professional who takes ownership of their portfolio, communicates effectively, follows matters through to resolution, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of commercial retail, office, and industrial properties.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for tenants, vendors, contractors, and ownership.
• Maintain strong tenant and client relationships through professional and timely communication.
• Coordinate maintenance requests, vendor services, inspections, repairs, and property improvements.
• Prepare annual operating budgets and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.
• Review invoices, monitor property expenses, and assist with budget management.
• Onboard new tenants and maintain accurate lease files, tenant records, insurance documentation, and property management software.
• Monitor lease compliance and assist with renewals, tenant move-ins, and move-outs.
• Maintain organized records and documentation while managing multiple priorities.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial property management experience, including retail, office, and/or industrial properties.
• Strong understanding of commercial property operations and lease administration.
• Experience preparing annual operating budgets and CAM reconciliations.
• Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand and analyze P&L statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, and budget variance reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable solving problems independently.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with tenants, vendors, clients, and coworkers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and property management software. AppFolio experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

• Construction accounting
• AIA contracts
• Lien releases
• Voucher control
• Commercial construction administration

• Communicate proactively and keep tenants, ownership, and the internal team informed.
• Maintain accurate and organized property and tenant records.
• Meet deadlines and communicate early when priorities, delays, or roadblocks arise.
• Identify issues early and work toward solutions without requiring constant direction.
• Provide responsive, professional service to tenants, vendors, and ownership.

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
