Scientist II, Bioanalytics

Vir Biotechnology seeks a Bioanalytical Scientist to develop and optimize bioanalytical methods supporting large-molecule drug candidates in preclinical and clinical stages. The role involves immunochemistry assay design, LC-MS/MS sample preparation, and cross-functional collaboration within the Translational Development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize bioanalytical methods for large-molecule preclinical and clinical candidates
- Design and execute immunochemistry assays including ELISA, MSD, and anti-drug antibody assays
- Prepare samples for LC-MS/MS analysis and troubleshoot complex assay methods
- Prepare and characterize assay reagents using biochemical techniques
- Maintain documentation in electronic lab notebooks and present results to cross-functional teams
Requirements
- PhD with 1+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS with 8+ years industry experience
- Hands-on laboratory work combined with project oversight experience
- Understanding of GLP/GCP principles for bioanalytical assay development and sample handling
- Technical expertise with ligand-binding, cell-based, and LC-MS/MS assay platforms
- Knowledge of PK/PD concepts and applications to large-molecule therapeutics
- CRO management experience for assay development and validation preferred
