Maintains a safety-first mindset for all tasks performed. May direct assigned work crew in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for repairs, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventative maintenance of associated systems and equipment to include all HVAC and mechanical equipment. Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment in good operating condition and maintaining up to date equipment maintenance records.# # **Responsibilities**# 1.Repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots HVAC and mechanical system equipment used in the manufacturing process.2. Checks, and inspects HVAC mechanical equipment periodically to determine the need to repair or conduct preventative maintenance.3. Carries out preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment and/or systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).4. Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and minimize downtime.5. Cleans and organizes workplace to ensure both operating and safety conditions.6. Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards.7. Uses critical thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures.8. Responsible for developing and implementing improvements for efficiency, safety, and preventative maintenance. Assists engineers, and supervision with capital improvement projects, including acquisition, installation, startup and commissioning, rebuilding and upgrading of HVAC and mechanical systems.9. Performs additional facility maintenance duties as directed, including but not limited to framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, concrete, painting, landscaping, snow removal, etc.10. Must possess a safety-first culture and safely operate machinery and equipment to perform essential duties. These may include ladders, man-lifts, forklifts, skid steers, power tools, welders, grinders, etc.11. Preplans work to mitigate roadblocks and plans safety into every task.12. Mentors and coaches co-workers on performing tasks related to HVAC and mechanical systems.***All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.*****REQUIREMENTS*** Must have a high school education and be able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work. Prefer an HVAC Technician Certificate from an accredited institution.* Minimum 5 years related experience in commercial HVAC* Must have a clear understanding of troubleshooting and commissioning HVAC control circuits as well as metal working/ductwork fabrication* Prefer experience in a highly technical environment.* Must have good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.* Must be able to work overtime as necessary* Flexibility and ability to perform under abruptly changing priorities when necessary.* Must possess and maintain a Universal EPA Certification.# # **Additional Information**We offer an excellent salary and benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as life insurance, disability, 401K with company contribution, and wellness program.Please note that joining our team does not create a guaranteed or permanent employment arrangement.
