The Solon Center for the Arts is currently accepting applications for part-time SCA Assistants. Applicants will assist in the daily operations of the Solon Center for the Arts, and will be asked to perform receptionist tasks, prepare for activities and events, help with the day-to-day operations of the center, and possibly assist/lead programs. These positions involve mostly evening hours but may also include daytime and weekend hours. Primary tasks and responsibilities include: Shifts include: Monday, 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Additional shifts may be available for evening and weekend rentals Perform registration and payment tasks in SCA's online registration software, including data entry, creating accounts, enrolling participants, accepting payments, accessing class listings, and running attendance reports. Selling tickets in SCA's online ticketing program. Greeting patrons, determining their needs, and directing them to appropriate office, classroom, or studio location. Answering telephones, transferring calls, answering questions relative to SCA, and relaying messages to staff and instructors. Assisting Coordinators and Instructors with programs, lessons, and events, including check-in, check-out, assisting participants, overseeing camp lunch/breaks, preparations, and clean-up. A high school diploma or a GED equivalency certificate is preferred, as well as previous experience in customer service, education, arts, or related field. Applicants under the age of 18 must provide a work permit, which may be obtained through your high school, at the time of hire. Successful candidates must also be proficient with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as web-based programs. This position is part-time with hours not exceeding more than 28 hours/week. This position offers a starting wage of $17.4084/hour. Compensation will be determined based on previous experience.
