Packaging & Merchandise Designer

We are seeking an innovative and highly detail-oriented Packaging Designer to create elevated unboxing experiences, luxury PR mailers, bespoke gifting, custom merchandise, and innovative physical product concepts. This role is focused on transforming into sophisticated brand experiences that feel distinctive, considered, and memorable. You will bring together design, materials, craftsmanship, and storytelling to create experiences that reflect the quality and desirability of luxury products. Working closely with creative, product, and production teams, you will oversee concepts from initial ideation through prototyping and production, ensuring that every detail—from material selection and finishes to structure and presentation—contributes to a cohesive and premium experience. You will play a key role in developing physical brand experiences that elevate product perception, create emotional connections, and deliver a sense of discovery and exclusivity. Develop innovative and sophisticated packaging, gifting, and unboxing concepts rooted in luxury design principles and brand identity. Conceptualize bespoke PR mailers, luxury gifting experiences, and custom physical products that create meaningful brand moments. Develop distinctive merchandise and product concepts that extend the brand story beyond traditional packaging. Translate creative and strategic direction into compelling concepts supported by clear, visually refined presentations. Explore emerging design, cultural, and luxury trends to develop experiences that feel contemporary, distinctive, and relevant. Create detailed packaging and product designs that balance visual sophistication, functionality, and craftsmanship. Develop prototypes, mock-ups, and design specifications to communicate concepts and support production. Apply strong graphic design principles across packaging, printed materials, custom products, and gifting components. Explore premium materials, specialty papers, custom structures, finishes, embellishments, and production techniques. Collaborate with production partners to ensure the final execution reflects the original creative vision and meets high standards of quality. Partner closely with creative, product, production, sourcing, and supply chain teams to bring concepts from idea to final execution. Maintain a strong understanding of luxury, fashion, beauty, hospitality, lifestyle, and premium consumer trends. Stay informed on emerging materials, craftsmanship, packaging innovations, and experiential design. Understand the visual and tactile details that differentiate premium and luxury experiences from conventional consumer packaging.
