Associate Director US Oncology Payer/Market Access

Merck seeks an Associate Director to develop and execute US market access strategies for oncology medicines, including alliance products and new launches. The role involves collaborating across internal functions and external partners to support payer access, reimbursement, and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer-specific market access and payer strategies with alliance and internal partners
• Support payer value propositions, channel strategies, and promotional initiatives aligned with brand objectives
• Serve as primary contact for field-facing team messaging, communications, and resource planning
• Collaborate cross-functionally on pricing, reimbursement, and access planning for current and future indications
• Provide input on forecasting, health economics research, and out-of-pocket cost implications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical marketing, managed care, or sales experience
• Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership capabilities
• Knowledge of pharmacy and medical benefit healthcare policy trends
• Experience with oncology payer market access preferred
