Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend required, totaling four shifts per schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases. This role requires proficiency in managing labor and delivery processes, including circulating for C-sections and recovering patients post-operatively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct labor and delivery assessments and provide appropriate interventions.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum couplet care.
• Utilize external fetal heart monitoring and maintain central lines.
• Administer anticoagulation therapy and manage insulin drips.
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team to support overall patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Requirements include current ACLS, BCLS, and NRP certifications.
• Experience in labor and delivery nursing, capable of handling antepartum and postpartum responsibilities.
• Travel experience preferred but not mandatory; first-timers are welcome to apply.
• Registered Nurse license must be valid and in hand at the time of submission.
