Construction Estimator

Are you an experienced Construction Estimato r looking to join a growing commercial construction organization with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and delivering exceptional projects? Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimat or to join their Charlotte team. This individual will play a critical role in preparing competitive bids, developing accurate project budgets, and partnering with operations teams to ensure successful project execution from preconstruction through project handoff What You’ll Do Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals Develop comprehensive budgets for commercial construction projects Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits Collaborate with Project Managers throughout the preconstruction process Prepare bid packages and proposal documentation Analyze project risks and recommend pricing strategies Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information Assist with change order pricing and conceptual estimating What We’re Looking For 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Experience preparing quantity takeoffs and detailed project estimates Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines Preferred Experience Ground-up commercial construction Commercial renovations and tenant improvements Healthcare, education, industrial, retail, office, or multifamily projects Experience with negotiated and hard-bid projects Software Experience - Experience with one or more of the following is preferred RevuPlan On-Screen Takeoff Procore or similar construction management software Microsoft Excel Why Consider This Opportunity Join a financially stable and growing commercial contractor Collaborative, team-oriented culture Opportunity for professional growth and career advancement Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package including: Vehicle Allowance, Gas Card, Cell Phone, yearly bonus, and 60% of employee’s medical paid for by the employer #J-18808-Ljbffr The Resource Co
