About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP, Enterprise Risk Management to play a pivotal role in the development and evolution of its risk management program. The successful candidate will be a key leader in shaping the ERM strategy, aligning it with business objectives, and driving the program's maturity to meet regulatory and industry standards. This highly visible position involves close partnership with the General Counsel and senior leadership to ensure that the ERM framework, risk appetite, and governance structure are robust and effective. The role also includes leading enterprise-wide risk assessments, delivering actionable insights, and monitoring emerging risks to provide strategic recommendations. Applicants for the AVP, Enterprise Risk Management role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in enterprise risk, audit, compliance, legal, or a related function within a regulated financial environment. A strong track record in leading risk assessments and advising senior leadership is essential, as is the ability to influence cross-functional initiatives and operate independently in complex settings. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree being a plus, and a relevant professional certification. Experience in credit unions or financial services is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proactive problem-solver, and a champion of a risk-aware culture.
