Air Export OperationsCompany/Industry: Well-established freight forwarderLocation: Jamaica, NYSalary: Commensurate with experience + benefitsStatus: Full-Time and Permanent Employment – On-siteDuties and Responsibilities:Handle all aspects of export operations, including arranging bookings with transport providers and ocean/air carriers, filing required documents, and providing full customer service for each shipment.Process export documentation in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance to our procedures and country requirements exercising personal judgement and discretion.Always utilize discretion and personal judgement to ship goods using the most efficient and cost-effective route to increase margin on each shipment.Manage engaging vendors and suppliers, and work with procurement team on ocean and air cargo needsAuthority to negotiate rates and make decisions pertaining to shipping vendors.Ensure product compliance, operating efficiency, with a specific focus on productivity, quality and profitability.Oversee pick up on behalf of the client/ agent as required.Responsible for accurate completion of airway bills.Manage invoicing and collection of freight, agency and disbursements from clients.Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of Air export experience.Excellent communication & customer service skills.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $70,000.00 - $85,000.00All compensation and pay rates are dependent upon skills and experience.
