Compensation $116,000.00 – $176,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience. Diagnose and treat foot diseases and deformities such as corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, tumors, bunions, cysts, and abscesses. Make and fit prosthetic devices and prescribe footwear. Refer patients to physicians for systemic disorders such as arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, or kidney trouble. Qualifications Completion of a 4‑year podiatric college. Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree. Minimum 2 years of practical service in clinics, allied clinical programs, affiliated teaching hospitals, or private offices. Successful completion of residency programs lasting 1–4 years, covering emergency services, anesthesiology, radiology, general medicine, pathology, surgery, dermatology, neurology, orthopedics, physical medicine, and rehabilitation.
