Travelling Superintendent

Job Description

Travelling Superintendent | DMV-Based | $110,000–$135,000 + Per Diem

\n

\n

We're not just filling a role. We're looking for a field leader — someone who walks onto a job site and immediately commands respect, drives quality, and gets things done.

\n

\n

On behalf of our client — an award-winning General Contractor with a reputation built on excellence across commercial and federal construction — we are exclusively seeking a Travelling Superintendent to join their growing team.

\n

\n

This is a company that invests in its people, wins work worth talking about, and has the pipeline to keep you busy and challenged for years to come. If you're a seasoned Superintendent who's tired of being undervalued and ready for a role that matches your experience and ambition — keep reading.

\n

\n

The Role:

\n

\n

As Travelling Superintendent, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader across a portfolio of commercial and/or federal construction projects spanning the DMV region and East Coast . You'll own the site from groundbreaking through closeout — managing subcontractors, driving schedules, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects that reflect your name as much as theirs.

\n

\n

What You'll Be Doing:

\n

\n

\n
• Leading day-to-day field operations across active commercial and/or federal project sites
\n
• Supervising subcontractors, foremen, and site personnel to keep quality and schedule tight
\n
• Acting as the primary point of contact between the field and project management teams
\n
• Enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a zero-compromise jobsite culture
\n
• Coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues fast
\n
• Managing RFIs, submittals, daily logs, and all field documentation with precision
\n
• Driving projects from dirt to punchlist — on time, on budget, and to spec
\n

\n

\n

Who You Are:

\n

\n

\n
• 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial and/or federal construction projects (ground-up experience is a strong plus)
\n
• Based in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) and comfortable travelling across the East Coast as projects demand
\n
• A natural leader — someone who earns the trust of subs and ownership alike
\n
• OSHA 30 certified (or willing to obtain)
\n
• Procore and/or construction management software proficiency preferred
\n
• Holds a valid driver's license with a clean record
\n
• Someone who takes pride in their work and whose project list speaks for itself
\n

\n

\n

What's On Offer:

\n

\n

\n
• $110,000 – $135,000 base salary
\n
• Per Diem when travelling — your expenses are covered, not coming out of your pocket
\n
• Work for a recognised, award-winning GC whose name carries weight in the industry
\n
• A leadership team that supports you in the field — not one that micromanages from a boardroom
\n
• Real growth opportunity within a company that is actively expanding its project portfolio
\n
• The kind of work you can be proud of — projects that matter, built to last
\n
