Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title Physical Therapist Location North Carolina Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 40 hours per week | Minimum 12 weeks, start September Key Responsibilities Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines. Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities. Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations. Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the applicable state. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist. Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop appropriate, goal-oriented treatment plans. Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines. Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements and adherence to the discipline-specific professional code of conduct. Preferred Experience / Skills Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting. Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students. Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in a clinical environment.
